WE ARE ONE
That He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish (Ephesians 5:27). In the gospel of John, Jesus prayed for the church that all may be one (John 17:21) because He will be coming for a church not as Pentecost, Christ Embassy, orthodox, or charismatic etc. but a church without blemish and spot. All churches are all of one body called the body of Christ, name not withstanding (1 Corinthians 10:17). It’s just appalling most of the time when Christians fight among themselves based on the different denominations they belong. Those Christians are like the Corinthian church which some were saying are of Apollos and some of Paul and also others, Cephas. They don’t understand the body of Christ. Christ is not divided (1 Corinthians 1:12-13). All churches in the world are one as long as they are submitted to the lordship of Jesus, but for the sake of function and peculiar callings, have been separated into several domains for the accomplishment of a mandate for a set time. Even parts of the human body don’t have the same name and functions but they all are part of the same body to run its affairs. The aim of the body of Christ is to bring the lost back to Him. There is no way, any part of the body will fight the other because they understand they're all working for a common aim irrespective of the different functions and names they might have. Scripture tells us in 1 Corinthians 12:25 that; there should be no schism in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another. There is no church better than the other. I pray that may the oneness of the spirit and mind concerning the church of God be focused on, and every form of separation be vanquished. May we always live as a family, caring for each other in all things in Jesus’ name. Amen.
